Basketball University is the complete youth basketball development program established in 2006 to offer training, camps, and leagues. The program was created with young, unskilled athletes in mind who would truly benefit from an ongoing, quality training program that prepares them to compete on various basketball levels including recreation, AAU, and school teams.
Lima Pereira is the founder and co-owner of Basketball University. Since 1997 he has been actively involved in youth basketball as a coach and trainer. His experience includes 13-years coaching travel basketball teams and 6-years on the high school level as a freshman, JV and varsity boy’s head coach. He is a former Regional Director for adidas Phenom Exposure Camps.
Marcus Wourman is a co-owner of Basketball University. Marcus has a successful, broad-based background spanning more than 20 years as a player, coach, and trainer. His experience includes positions as: President, Prospectors Basketball, Program Director, Basketball University; Program Coordinator, AIM High Sports Complex; JV and Varsity Assistant Coach, Eastern High School, Lansing, MI; Varsity Coach, Concordia College; Albion College, men's varsity basketball team.
